The chicken or the egg? The Camera or the Cable?
Much like the debate over which came first, the chicken or the egg - in the world of drain cleaning, the question that is often asked is, “Should I have a video inspection of my drain line, or should I have it cleaned first?” Many customers feel like they want to see what’s inside the drain line by utilizing a camera inspection before they take any action to have it cleaned or repaired. However, there are problems with sending a camera down a drain line that may not yet be clear of roots, waste, sludge, or is possibly broken.
While this is not a steadfast rule that holds true 100% of the time, we believe this is the best rule-of-thumb most of the time.
